    Finishing an "impactful" inaugural season, Lyons Lions Unified Basketball is here to stay

    While winter across the Finger Lakes region may send many into hibernation mode, in Lyons winter is the most heart-pumping season of all: basketball season. But followers of all things Lions Athletics may have noticed basketball trickling into the spring season this year. Spring 2023 brought with it the first ever season of Lyons Lions Unified Basketball.

    The Lyons High School 81st Commencement Ceremony will be held on Friday, June 23rd, 2023 at 6:30pm in the Earl Buchanan Auditorium.

    LCSD Food & Goods Drive running until May 25

    Students across the district are feeling the positive, orange vibes as they round the corner on the final week of their student-led LCSD Food and Goods Drive. Due to the lessons about happiness and kindness learned in the Lyons CSD Orange Frog program, students from Lyons Elementary, Middle, and High Schools decided to come together to give back to families that are in need. The drive benefits Family Promise, whose mission is "to help families experiencing homelessness and low-income families achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response." Students are collecting food and goods for Family Promise through Thursday, May 25th. Learn more about the drive by watching our video.

    Lyons voters approve 2023-24 school budget proposal

    Voters in the Lyons Central School District approved the proposed 2023-24 district budget – 397 yes votes to 152 no votes – on Tuesday, May 16. Voters also approved – 443 yes votes to 105 no votes – a second proposition regarding authorization to expend funds from the Bus Purchase Reserve Fund (2022). Additionally, Melissa Taylor and Rich Henry were elected to the Lyons Central School District Board of Education by voters to fill two board vacancies. Each seat is for a 3-year term.
