The Survivor Run is a cardiovascular warm up that teaches the students the importance of pacing while running long distances. It also helps prepare the students for fitness testing while students compete against the other grade levels. The Survivor Run lasts for ten weeks where each time the students come to class, they will try to run for a set time. On the first day of the run, students try to run for an entire two minutes and thirty seconds. When they come back to PE for their second class of the week, students will try to run for three straight minutes. Each PE class, the time will increase by thirty seconds. On the last day of the survivor run, students will attempt to run for ten straight minutes!
