    Animal Science Students Compete in "Dogless" Dog Show

    Mr. Dailey's Animal Science class held their first ever "Dogless" Dog Show yesterday morning. Students were asked to choose an AKC registered breed to do research on, and then create a life-size, realistic cut out of the dog. The class watched dog shows and talked about small animal science to prepare for competition.

    Instructional Coach Mrs. Heather Randell becomes new Interim Assistant Principal at LES

    Coach, has now been appointed Interim Assistant Principal at Lyons Elementary School. Mrs. Randell's appointment is as a teacher on special assignment, completing an internship in the interim position through June 30, 2023. Mrs. Randell came to Lyons after teaching at Brockport High School for the last four years as a Biology and Chemistry teacher. Over the course of her 20-year teaching career, she has also taught Living Environment and Chemistry and worked as an Assistant Principal at the Brighton Central School District.

  •  LES MLK Assembly

    LES holds Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Assembly

    On Friday, January 13th, students and staff at Lyons Elementary School celebrated the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with an afternoon assembly. The event included singing throughout, with the LES Chorus both performing as well as leading singalongs with the audience. Highlights also included a poetry reading, a Reader’s Theater, and a presentation of awards for the MLK Contest.
