    Lyons, Clyde-Savannah communities raise $3000 for Senior scholarships during staff basketball game

    Basketball season may have officially come to a close in Lyons, but fans poured into the Lyons Community Center on Tuesday evening to take in just one more contest: the Lyons vs. Clyde-Savannah faculty basketball game. The matchup is part of a tradition – paused during the Covid pandemic – that fosters a friendly spirit of competition while bringing the two communities together for a common cause: raising money for senior scholarships. The March 28th event raised $3,000 in total, which will be split between the two school districts.

    Cub Call and Proud Paws: March 10, 2023

    With the success of the first Cub and Proud Paws calls made on March 3rd, Lyons Elementary School administration decided to double the amount of calls going out each Friday. This meant that on Friday, March 10th, LES Interim Assistant Principal Mrs. Heather Randell placed calls home to four selected families to congratulate them on their students' ROAR achievements. The students recognized on Friday, March 10th were: Olyvia M., Lucas R., Ayden B., and Lily C.

    Tickets are on sale now for the Lyons MS/HS staging of The Addams Family – A New Musical Comedy! Join us at the Earl Buchanan Auditorium for Opening Night: Friday, March 17th at 7:00PM.     Jason Hunt-McLean Named 2023 Recipient of Superintendent Award; Receives Scholarship

    Lyons HS Senior Jason Hunt-McLean has been recognized as LCSD’s 2023 recipient of the Wayne-Finger Lakes Superintendent Award. The annual award recognizes the achievements of student leaders throughout the 25 Wayne-Finger Lakes component districts. Jason also won one of only five scholarships open to Superintendent Award recipients that evening.

    Next Boys Varsity Basketball NYS Qualifier Game Scheduled for March 9th

    Our boys basketball team has advanced to the NYS Qualifier game of Section V Class C after winning the Class C3 tournament. They will play Pembroke at Avon High School on Thursday, March 9th at 6:30 pm. The winner of this game will advance to the State Tournament. The State Quarterfinal Game will take place at Gates Chili High School vs. Randolph at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 11th.
