VOTING PROCEDURES for the 2020-2021 School Budget Vote and Board of Education Election

Voting Procedures

 

Voting Procedures for voting on the 2021-2022 School Budget and Board of Education election are back in-person.    Voting will be held in the Earl Buchanan Auditorium at the Lyons Middle/High School from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 18th.   Please respect the school’s protocols by wearing your mask and practicing the 6 feet social distancing.

 

You can also request an Absentee Ballot if you wish to not vote in-person.  You can stop into the District Office located behind the Lyons Middle/High School between the hours of 9:00 and 4:00 or contact Wendy Odit, District Clerk at 315-946-2200 ext. 2010 or wodit@lyonscsd.org to request an Absentee Ballot Application.   There is also a link below for the application.  Once the application is completed you will be given a ballot. 

Reasons to request an absentee ballot:

  • Absence from county on election day
  • Temporary illness or physical disability (temporary illness include being unable to appear due to risk of contracting or spreading a communicable disease like COVID-19)
  • Permanent illness or physical disability
  • Duties related to primary care of one or more individuals who are ill or physically disabled
  • Resident or patient of Veterans Health Administration Hospital
  • Detention in jail/prison, awaiting trial, awaiting action by a grand jury, or in prison for conviction of a crime or offense which was not a felony
