At Lyons Elementary School, we love celebrating students who go above and beyond! One of the ways we recognize our students' hard work and positive behavior is through our Cub Calls program.

Cub Calls are special phone calls made home by the principal to share the great news when a student is nominated by their teacher for consistently demonstrating our ROAR expectations—Respect, Ownership, Acceptance, and Responsibility—across all areas of the school.

When students earn a Cub Call, they’ve been noticed as role models in their classroom, hallways, cafeteria, playground, and beyond. These students are recognized for:

• Showing respect to peers and staff

• Taking ownership of their learning and actions

• Demonstrating acceptance of others

• Taking responsibility in all areas of school life

This positive phone call home is a moment of pride for both students and families—it’s a way to highlight the amazing character and leadership our students bring to our school community every day.
