Mrs. Zulauf’s 3rd-grade class enjoyed some winter fun at recess, spending time outside playing in the snow. Students embraced the fresh air, laughter, and a chance to enjoy the season together.

Ms. Young’s 9th-grade science class explored how animals adapt to survive in their environments, engaging in hands-on learning and thoughtful discussion about the unique traits that help different species thrive. The class even welcomed their rabbit, Rosa, who joined the lesson and participated right alongside the students.

Ms. Drew-Fox’s class has been hard at work preparing for the U.S. History Regents. Students spent time learning how to break down Regents questions, annotate key details, and apply helpful test-taking strategies. They’re building confidence, sharpening their skills, and getting ready to succeed on exam day.

Two Lyons students, Angelo Card and Jamara Johnson, attended the "Celebrate Becoming a Teacher" event at St. John Fisher University through the Teacher Pipeline Partnership. They sat in on a class, heard inspiring messages about the teaching profession, and were honored in a special ceremony. The day ended with an information fair and lunch on campus, made even more meaningful with their moms there to celebrate with them. A special thank you to St. John Fisher, Mrs. Kuhn, and Mrs. Champlin for making this experience possible.
