Mr. Benderski’s Technology students are putting their measuring and woodworking skills to the test as they create oversized dice! Students used a miter saw to make their initial cuts and are now measuring and marking the dots before heading back to the shop to drill them out.

As part of our Collaborative Classroom curriculum, Mrs. Bookmiller’s 5th-grade students participate in skill-based, student-led Book Clubs twice a week. Students lead meaningful discussions about their reading, sharing perspectives, asking questions, exploring vocabulary, and analyzing characters and themes. With Mrs. Bookmiller providing guidance as needed, students are strengthening their reading comprehension, communication, and critical-thinking skills!

Pumpkins took center stage at this month’s Elementary Buddy Day! Buddy Day pairs younger students with older students for hands-on learning and mentorship. Together, students explored science experiments, pumpkin slime, lava lamps, STEM challenges, reading, math with pumpkin seeds, measuring, and more! It was a fun, fall-themed way to bring learning to life while building friendships and a stronger school community!

Miss Ouderkirk’s 10th-grade English students brought literature to life by designing house blueprints based on Julio Cortázar’s short story House Taken Over. Using details from the text, students combined reading comprehension, critical thinking, and creativity to visualize the story’s setting!

We had a great turnout for our Middle School Parent/Guardian Toolkit Workshop! Families learned how to navigate SchoolTool and ParentSquare, monitor student progress, and help their students prepare for exams. Thank you to Mrs. Brooks, Ms. Schott, and the Middle School team for making this evening possible, and to our families for taking an active role in their students’ success!
