Our 10th-grade Health students wrapped up their Baby Simulation Unit, gaining hands-on experience with the responsibilities of caring for an infant. The activity gave a glimpse into parenthood while helping students build responsibility, time management, and real-life decision-making skills.


Mrs. Zulauf’s 3rd graders are combining learning and reflection as they work on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.–themed math worksheets. These activities help students practice important math skills while honoring the legacy of Dr. King and the values of equality and community.










The High School Leadership Class continued their regular visits to 4th-grade classrooms, teaching lessons on kindness and positivity. Through videos they created, interactive activities, and thoughtful discussions, they reinforce the importance of respect and compassion in everyday interactions.










Mrs. Kesel’s 7th graders are hard at work reviewing for their upcoming Social Studies midterms. Students are engaging in focused discussions, practicing key concepts, and using creative study strategies to prepare for next week’s exams.








Mrs. Dorrington’s 1st graders are hard at work in reading stations, exploring books, practicing skills, and building confidence as young readers. These hands-on activities help students engage with literacy in fun and meaningful ways.








Ms. Young’s Science class made the midterm review both engaging and effective! Students reinforced key concepts through an interactive “Survivor” review game, with Macarena dance breaks to maintain energy and focus. This combination of active learning and review strategies supports all students in understanding and retaining important material ahead of the science midterm.








Mrs. Brooks’ 7th-grade Health class recently welcomed nutritionist Ariel Demas for an engaging lesson on food literacy and healthy habits. Students learned about nutrition through hands-on, real-world connections that highlighted the importance of making informed food choices and understanding how food impacts overall health.









Mrs. Hysick joined the 6th graders for some basketball fun during PE, getting in on the action and cheering on students as they practiced their skills. It was a lively session full of teamwork, energy, and school spirit!








Students in Mrs. Borrelli’s class are gearing up for midterms by reviewing key concepts and creating their own study tools to support learning. Through collaboration and creativity, students are building effective strategies to feel confident and prepared for upcoming exams.



The Lyons Varsity Choir opened the Board of Education meeting with a beautiful performance of the National Anthem. Their voices set a meaningful tone for the evening and showcased our students' talent and pride.


Ms. Williams works one-on-one with band students during private lessons, helping them refine their skills, strengthen their technique, and build confidence in their musical abilities.
