The first-ever Lyons Community Family Feud event, hosted by the Lyons Central School District, was a heartwarming celebration of connection, bringing together teams from the LCSD staff, Wayne County Sheriff's Department, Town of Lyons, Lyons Community Center, Lyons Fire Department, and Lyons National Bank for a night of fun and friendly competition. With LNB's "Loan Rangers" taking home the win, the true highlight was the incredible sense of community on display—events like this are what make Lyons such a special place to live, learn, and grow together.

Students in Mrs. Parkison's class were hard at work building key literacy and math skills—4th graders focused on phonics through iReady Reading and ELA Centers, 5th graders collaborated on a math game to add fractions with unlike denominators using a graphic organizer, and 6th graders practiced the RATT strategy to strengthen their reading comprehension and writing. It was a productive day full of learning, teamwork, and growth!

Teachers and students at the elementary school had a blast celebrating Decades Week. To wrap up Music in Our Schools Month, they dressed up in styles from different eras and highlighted music genres from each decade. From rock ‘n’ roll of the '50s to the pop hits of the 1990s, the week was filled with school spirit, creativity, and a joyful celebration of music through the ages!
