Lyons Central School District would like to congratulate Lyons MS/HS Principal Katrina Henderson on completing her Doctor of Education (EdD). Dr. Henderson earned her doctorate – with a specialization in Educational Leadership – at Capella University this March. We are honored to have you in the #LYPride, Dr. Henderson!
Basketball season may have officially come to a close in Lyons, but fans poured into the Lyons Community Center on Tuesday evening to take in just one more contest: the Lyons vs. Clyde-Savannah faculty basketball game. The matchup is part of a tradition – paused during the Covid pandemic – that fosters a friendly spirit of competition while bringing the two communities together for a common cause: raising money for senior scholarships. The March 28th event raised $3,000 in total, which will be split between the two school districts.
The students recognized during Cub and Proud Paws Calls on Thursday, March 16th were Amelia A., Alivia B., and Logan W.
Join us next Tuesday, March 28th for the Lyons vs. Clyde-Savannah Faculty Basketball Game! Proceeds from the game support scholarships for graduating seniors from both districts.
With the success of the first Cub and Proud Paws calls made on March 3rd, Lyons Elementary School administration decided to double the amount of calls going out each Friday. This meant that on Friday, March 10th, LES Interim Assistant Principal Mrs. Heather Randell placed calls home to four selected families to congratulate them on their students' ROAR achievements. The students recognized on Friday, March 10th were: Olyvia M., Lucas R., Ayden B., and Lily C.
