Ms. Brook's art students are hard at work on their Vektor paintings—an optical illusion piece that uses soft transitions of value to create a striking three-dimensional effect. Their focus and creativity are bringing each illusion to life! Celebrate our student's hard work this weekend at the High School Art Exhibit Reception at the Wayne County Council For the Arts from 2:00 - 4:00 pm on March 23rd.
On Tuesday evening, Mr. Carr organized an optional educational and interactive event for 11th-grade U.S. History students. The event featured a screening of the historical movie All Quiet on the Western Front, during which Mr. Carr displayed personal artifacts, including a World War I gas mask passed down from his great-grandfather. This experience allowed students to connect with history in a meaningful and personal way.
Our 5th graders have been building their reading fluency by practicing with Fluency Pyramids, and they’ve been off to an incredible start! With students from all three 5th-grade classrooms working together during this block, it’s exciting to see them engaged and growing in their skills. They've been absolutely crushing it!

This week's Lunch & Learn Series featured The Arc of Wayne, giving students an engaging look into careers in the human services field and a unique paid high school internship opportunity. Future sessions will explore exciting pathways in electrical trades, manufacturing, criminal justice, and animal science.
Students Melanie Bullock (Grade 12, left) and Elinor Lawson (Grade 7, right) had an amazing time last weekend at Instrumental All County, held at Pal-Mac High School! They tackled some challenging music pieces and connected with fellow musicians from across Wayne County.
Elementary students had a blast at "Winter Fest," a fun-filled event organized by Mrs. Cinelli and a committee of staff featuring engaging and interactive activities designed especially for our littlest learners!
A group of juniors recently attended the National College Fair and toured Roberts Wesleyan University. They gained valuable insight into higher education opportunities, admissions, and future career pathways. The experience offered an exciting chance to connect with colleges nationwide and explore what life after high school could be like.

Twenty years ago, Dr. Barr and Mr. King sparked a legacy by bringing the Lyons vs. Clyde-Savannah staff basketball tradition to life—proving that teamwork, school spirit, and a little friendly competition can create memories that last a lifetime.
