To ease test-day nerves, teachers decorated the hallways and teamed up with parents to surprise students with heartfelt letters of affirmation. The encouraging messages and bright displays reminded students they are supported, believed in, and not alone.
Ms. Petty’s UPK class watched in awe as chicks hatched right in their classroom, turning science into a hands-on experience. The students loved getting to hold the fluffy newcomers and learn about life cycles up close.
Instructional Coach Mrs. Webb works one-on-one with students to provide personalized support that strengthens their learning.
Art teacher Mrs. Brooks welcomed Ms. Miller, a Christmas from a neighboring district, to share her ideas and strategies. This partnership is a great example of teachers supporting teachers to grow together for the benefit of their students.
Mr. Beveridge’s English class took their learning to the auditorium for a special viewing of The Crucible. The experience brought the play to life, helping students connect more deeply with its themes and characters.
As part of their passion project, the Advanced Leadership Class created a pop-up formal wear shop to support their peers ahead of prom. Thank you to the generous community members who donated dresses, suits, and accessories to help make this project a success!
The Unified Basketball team has been hard at work in practice with Coach Kuhn, 2006 alum Coach Leigh Ann Henry, and Board of Education member—and proud father—Mr. Henry was on the ready for any assistance the team needed. Their combined support and spirit are helping the team gear up for a great season!
Brian Mendler spent the last two days working with our staff, sharing practical strategies for building strong, positive relationships with students. His sessions focused on understanding student behavior and fostering classroom environments where all learners can thrive.
