This Week in Photos: April 21 - 25, 2025
Ms. Korzeniewski’s 6th-grade class kicked off their unit on Ancient Greece by diving into a reading about the city-states of Sparta and Athens. Students used graphic organizers to compare and contrast the two, identifying key similarities and differences.
Mr. Ryan's class took a deep dive into the age of absolutism this week by exploring King Louis XIV of France through interactive learning stations. Students rotated through activities that brought the Sun King's reign to life— A fun and engaging way to make history stick!
Ohmann Theatre welcomed our 2nd–5th graders for a lively performance by Suvartukas, a student folk group from Lithuania. Students explored Lithuanian culture through music and dance, and the group even joined Lyons graduates/community members for a fun basketball game at the Lyons Community Center, showcasing the heart and hospitality that make Lyons so special.
Lyons Middle/High School students were all smiles as they celebrated their academic achievements for the 3rd quarter! Students who earned Merit, Honor, and High Honor Roll were recognized with a special ice cream celebration to acknowledge their hard work and dedication. Way to go, Lions—keep reaching for excellence!
Our Lyons Lions Modified Track team showed up with determination and school pride at this week’s meet! From sprints to jumps and throws, our athletes gave it their all, cheered each other on, and represented Lyons with heart and hustle. Great job, Lions!
This week, Lyons Central School District welcomed The Up Guys, a high-energy team focused on motivating and empowering students. Through honest conversation, powerful storytelling, and uplifting messages, they encouraged our students to embrace resilience, make positive choices, and support one another. Their message reminded us all of the power of mindset, community, and believing in what’s possible.
