The Lyons FFA Chapter held its end-of-year banquet this past week, and it was a night to remember! Mr. Dailey and the FFA members did an outstanding job highlighting the impact of agricultural education, recognizing student accomplishments, and honoring the many supporters who make the program possible. The evening also welcomed new members into the FFA family and gave a heartfelt send-off to the graduating seniors.

Lyons High School Principal and counselors hit the road to celebrate the Class of 2025! They made special deliveries to each senior’s home, placing personalized signs in their yards to honor this exciting milestone. It was a day full of smiles, cheers, and a whole lot of Lyons pride as we recognized our soon-to-be graduates right at their doorsteps!

Students in Mr. Consadine's science class explored how different natural substances filter water! Using rocks, gravel, sand, and more, they measured the rate and clarity of water as it passed through each layer. A hands-on way to learn about soil composition, filtration, and the science behind clean water!

Mr. Bastian's 1st grade class spent time learning about the importance of Memorial Day through thoughtful projects and activities. From creating patriotic art to writing messages of gratitude, students honored the brave men and women who served our country.

Families came out in full force for Family Engagement Night this past week on Voting Day! From bounce houses and live student performances to delicious tacos in the cafeteria, there was fun for everyone. Families also connected with local resources and enjoyed a night of community, learning, and celebration. Thank you to everyone who joined us!

Students at Lyons Elementary had a blast during Science and Literacy Night! They explored hands-on activities and engaging stories with Mr. Poole and Mr. Nesbitt from the Community Reads program, while guest scientist and mathematician Dr. Ryan Vogt wowed them with exciting experiments and math challenges. It was a fun-filled evening of learning, curiosity, and community connection!
