Seniors marked a bittersweet milestone as they celebrated their “last bell” of high school. Gathering in the foyer, they shared smiles, tears, and memories before walking out of the school together one final time—a moment full of pride, reflection, and anticipation for what’s ahead.

Middle and high school students celebrated a long-standing Lyons tradition—Tractor Day! On the last day of school, students drove their tractors to campus, showcasing pride in our agricultural roots. This year, the FFA added to the festivities by hosting a breakfast outside for participants, making it a memorable sendoff to summer.

A few of our students marked their last full day of classes with smiles and photos at the Middle-High School. A special moment as they close one chapter and get ready for what’s next!

Sixth-grade students took part in the annual rocket launch, a much-anticipated tradition that blends creativity with hands-on learning. After designing and building their own rockets, students headed to the high school to test their creations and watch them soar. A fun and exciting way to celebrate the end of the year while putting their STEM skills into action!

Second-grade students took the stage for their very first school musical, showcasing their hard work and enthusiasm in a fun and memorable performance. A big shoutout to music teacher Mrs. Barrigar for guiding and inspiring our young performers!

Lyons students took part in this year’s Flag Day Ceremony, where winners of the Elks Lodge “Father of the Year” Essay Contest were also recognized. This event highlighted a great example of community collaboration, bringing together students, families, and local partners to honor tradition and family.

Elementary students in the Garden Club have been planting and caring for flowers to make the school entrance more welcoming. They also continued their Kindness Garden, painting rocks with inspiring messages and designs. Whether it's brightening up the front of the school or sharing a word of encouragement, these students are working hard to make a difference in their school community.

The elementary staff gathered for a special Retirement Luncheon to celebrate four incredible elementary school team members: Colleen Boardman, Mike Blask, Margaret Blask, and Janette Sherry. The afternoon was filled with heartfelt stories, laughter, and thoughtful gifts as colleagues honored their years of dedication and their lasting impact on the school community.
