This Week In Photos: October 27 - October 31, 2025
Lyons Central School District was full of festive spirit as students celebrated Halloween in style! From creative costumes to smiling faces, the day was filled with fun and excitement. Elementary students showed off their costumes during the annual LES Halloween Parade, while Mrs. Brooks’ and Mrs. Davison’s art students enjoyed decorating their classrooms and celebrating with a festive Halloween party. Here are just a few pictures of the festive fun!



















Students in the L.Y.O.N.S. Elementary After School Program are hard at work during afterschool tutoring! This program offers students additional academic enrichment in subjects such as math and reading. Working in small groups, teachers help students strengthen the skills they’re currently learning in class or review important concepts they’ve already mastered.



High school science students spent time learning with Mr. Norris, who led a lesson on intermolecular forces. Students took notes and discussed how molecules attract one another and how these attractions, or lack thereof, affect the physical behavior of matter.






Students had a blast in PE class thanks to Mrs. Weber and Mrs. Aunkst, who transformed the gym into a spooky Halloween-themed space! From festive decorations to creative activity stations, students enjoyed moving through a variety of fun, Halloween-inspired challenges.







The Lyons National Honor Society hosted a community blood drive, giving students and staff the opportunity to make a lifesaving impact. Thank you to everyone who took the time to donate and support this important cause!


Elementary band students practiced with Ms. Williams as they prepare for their upcoming concert in December! Students are working hard to fine-tune their songs and build confidence as they get ready to take the stage.










Ms. Hill’s and Mr. Bastian’s classes received Rory the Lion this week in celebration of exceeding the ROAR expectations! Their hard work and positive behavior truly embody what it means to show Respect, Ownership, Acceptance, and Responsibility.


Assemblyman Brian Manktelow visited Mr. Ryan’s high school history classes to speak with students about his experiences and life lessons. He shared stories from his time in the military and emphasized the importance of civic engagement, encouraging students to stay informed, vote, and take part in meaningful conversations.
