Lyons senior Kamryn Bonnell reached her 1,000th career point last Wednesday during the Lady Lions' game against North Rose-Wolcott, hitting the milestone on a layup and earning a special on-court celebration with her family, teammates, and fans.

Athletic Director Zac Young praised Bonnell's dedication and leadership, stating, "I'm very happy to see Kam's hard work and time put into basketball lead to this milestone. Outside of her accomplishments, she has always represented Lyons with a positive manner on and off the court and is a great role model for our younger athletes."

LCSD alumni Patrice Coney-Maxam and her husband, Darrel Maxam, owners of Maxam Hotels, visited our High School Leadership class to share their inspiring personal and professional journeys. They spoke with students about their path to success, the challenges and failures that shaped them, and what it truly means to be a successful entrepreneur. Their message of perseverance, drive, and determination encouraged students to pursue their goals with confidence. The Maxams also offered students the opportunity to learn and work with them at their newest location, the Finger Lakes Treehouse in Sodus, NY.

With a few minutes before an assembly, students in Mrs. DeCracker’s class enjoyed a read-aloud from Double Fudge, continuing the story of Fudge, a character they’ve been following since September. The chapter sparked interest as students learned about his obsession with money and his family’s trip to Washington, D.C.
