Miss Faucher's 7th-grade English students are combining research and writing with real-world impact through a partnership with Lollypop Farm, Humane Society of Greater Rochester. Each student was assigned an adoptable animal and is researching its story to craft persuasive letters that will help the organization find these animals a forever home. This meaningful project gives students the opportunity to strengthen their writing skills while making a difference beyond the classroom.

Through music and movement, Mrs. Barrigar’s Kindergarten musicians explored rhythm hands-on by creating and using their own maracas. By filling eggs with rice, students not only learned to feel a steady beat, but also built fine motor skills and coordination.

Mrs. Robbins’ 4th grade students were fully engaged during math centers, collaborating, problem-solving, and building their skills through hands-on activities. Center-based learning gave students the opportunity to work at their own pace while strengthening their understanding in a variety of ways.
