Elementary students recently participated in Moving Up Day, visiting the classrooms and teachers they will have next year. The experience helped students become familiar with their new learning environments, meet staff members, and build excitement for the upcoming school year while making the transition to the next grade level a little smoother.

Ms. Gansz’s 10th-grade Global History students recently took part in an interactive Regents review activity focused on key dates and events. After finding their matching event, students worked together to build a chronological human timeline, discussing important concepts and historical connections along the way. The activity combined movement, collaboration, and critical thinking while reinforcing essential Regents content.

Our elementary music students took part in a long-standing Lyons tradition by performing at Seabreeze today. After sharing their musical talents and representing Lyons well, students enjoyed spending the rest of the day at the park with their classmates. It was a great day of music, fun, and memories.

Students, families, and staff gathered to celebrate academic excellence, leadership, character, service, and citizenship at the combined National Honor Society and Junior National Honor Society Induction Ceremony. The event recognized both new inductees and current members for their dedication to these core values, marking an important milestone in their educational journey. Congratulations to all of the students honored!

The Middle/High School Pops Concert and Art Show highlighted the talents of our student musicians and artists and celebrated our seniors in their final performance at Lyons. Congratulations to the Class of 2026!

Our 2nd grade students recently enjoyed a field trip to the zoo, where they had the opportunity to observe a variety of animals and learn about their habitats. The trip provided a fun, hands-on learning experience while giving students the chance to explore, ask questions, and make memories with their classmates.
