Mark your calendars! The Lyons vs. Clyde-Savannah Staff Basketball Game is set for Tuesday, March 17th at 6:30 PM. This year’s matchup will take place at Clyde-Savannah High School Gym.

Come out and cheer on your favorite teachers and staff members as they hit the court for a fun, friendly rivalry game with our neighbors from Clyde-Savannah.

Pre-sale tickets are available, and tickets will also be sold at the door.

SECTIONALS UPDATE: Annabelle Gage and Felisha Santoro will compete as individuals in the Girls Bowling Sectionals on Tuesday, February 24th at Rose Land Bowl in Canandaigua, NY. The event begins at 9:00 AM. Our Varsity Bowling Team will compete in Sectionals on Thursday, February 26th, at Rose Land Bowl in Canandaigua, NY. The event begins at 9:00 AM. They will play Caledonia Mumford on Wednesday, February 25th, at the Lyons Middle/High School at 6:30 pm. Today, we proudly celebrate Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputy TJ Radka on National School Resource Officer Day.

Deputy Radka is more than a presence in our hallways. He is a mentor, a role model, and a trusted adult our students know they can count on. Whether he’s building positive relationships with students, supporting staff, or helping ensure our buildings remain safe and welcoming, Deputy Radka approaches every day with dedication, care, and commitment.

This past year, he received the Distinguished Service Award for his outstanding service to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, the Lyons community, and as School Resource Officer at Lyons CSD.

Congratulations to Braydon Dapolito on an outstanding performance, capturing the 285 lb Class B2 Sectional Championship. Christian Weber and Jayden Joseph also delivered great matches, each earning second-place finishes in their weight classes. Through extreme winter weather and everyday challenges, the LCSD Transportation team continues to go above and beyond to keep our students safe and our district running smoothly.

That same care and dedication was on display when they welcomed former student Joshua for a special visit. While managing demanding winter conditions, the team still made time to share their work, reconnect with familiar faces, and create a meaningful behind-the-scenes experience for Joshua, who has a deep interest in buses and the team's amazing work.

“It’s nice to get behind-the-scenes experience of what happens in the bus garage,” Joshua shared. “I enjoyed catching up with them and loved that they remembered me.”

Thank you to our Transportation team for proving, on the coldest days and in the smallest moments, just how great you are.

On Saturday, Lyons Central School District proudly hosted the Wayne County Music Educators Association All-County Chorus Concert at the Earl Buchanan Auditorium. Students from across Wayne County came together to showcase their talent and hard work in a wonderful celebration of music. A special moment of the day included a guest appearance on the drums by former LCSD principal, Mr. Clark.

At halftime of last night's varsity game against Sodus, the future of Lyons basketball was on full display as our Lyons Lions varsity team proudly recognized our youth basketball players.
