This year, we’re giving a special spotlight to the Classes of the "6"s as we gear up to celebrate the Class of 2026! Reconnect with old friends, explore memorabilia, and don’t miss the special class photo and recognition at 6:00 pm.

Entertainment will be provided by the Decades Band, playing hits from across the decades, including some Lyons Pride of their own! The band features two of LCSD’s very own teachers, Ms. Shaffer and Ms. Brooks.

Bring your family, bring your classmates, and join us in celebrating all things Lyons!

Then & Now (1965 - 2025)
60 years apart, 2 generations of Lyons Lions football players captured in the same moment: gearing up for practice, putting in the work, and carrying the pride of Lyons on their shoulders. This recreated photo of our football team reminds us that pride isn’t just in the games we play, but in the dedication, preparation, and teamwork that have carried on through generations.

Generations may change, but the bond of being a Lion lasts forever. Once a Lion, always a Lion.

📢 Homecoming Bonfire Update: Due to the weather, the K-12 Homecoming Bonfire scheduled for tonight, Monday, September 22, has been RESCHEDULED to Thursday, October 30, from 5–7 PM.

Join us then for an evening of fall fun with food trucks, a DJ, and plenty of school spirit!

This year, Lyons Central School District is proud to launch Yard Fest at Homecoming: a celebration of Lyons Legacy and Alumni Pride.

We will be honoring the Classes of the “6” (1956, 1966, 1976, 1986, 1996, 2006, 2016) while also looking ahead to the Class of 2026, our future graduates who will carry the Lyons tradition forward for years to come.

What to Expect at Yard Fest:
-Food Truck Rodeo with local favorites (5+ food trucks will be available)
-The Decades Band playing the greatest hits of each generation
- Alumni and community connections
- Lyons' memorabilia and keepsakes
-Yard games, bounce houses, and fun for all ages

🎓 Kicking off Graduation Week with LCSD Pride! 🎓 Just over a week ago, the Class of 2025 participated in the heartwarming tradition of the Senior Walk, marking the beginning of their final chapter at Lyons Central School District. Led by our Valedictorian and Salutatorian, seniors made their way from the high school to the elementary building, escorted by the Lyons Fire Department and Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. As they entered the halls, they were greeted by roaring cheers, handmade signs, high fives, and in many cases, heartfelt hugs from family members and former teachers. This special moment is more than a celebration—it's a powerful reflection of community, mentorship, and LCSD pride. 🏆 Wayne County League Champions! 🥎 Congratulations to our Lyons Lions Varsity Softball Team on an undefeated regular season and being crowned Wayne County League Champions! This young, dominant team showed incredible grit and talent all season long — and with so much returning strength, the future is bright. In addition to their on-field success, the team was recognized as a Scholar-Athlete Team, proving their excellence in both athletics and academics. Head Coach Andrew Richardson shared, "This team had great team chemistry and great team leadership that helped us to exceed expectations this season."
