Throughout November and December, our College & Career Counseling staff have been organizing trips with LHS students to regional colleges. Each field trip is unique and offers Lyons High School students a chance to experience each campus, meet current students, and ask advisors and staff questions. A Snowy Night: A Reading of "The Snowy Day" with Superintendent Dr. Barr Wednesday, December 20th Lyons Community Center Gym Approximately 6:30PM, between the JV and Varsity Boys Basketball games 🏀 Students will have a chance to take home a new-to-them book and a holiday cookie! 📚🍪

Registration for Modified A Girls Basketball and Modified Wrestling is now open! Please register ASAP at lyons-ar.rschooltoday.com. The first day of practice is scheduled for Wednesday, January 3rd: 🏀 Girls Basketball will practice from 3:30-5:15 in the MS/HS gym 🤼 Wrestling will practice from 3:30-5:15 in the wrestling room 👟 Modified Indoor Track participants can participate in both seasons! This month’s LCSD Happiness 360 tactic has been “gratitudes.” At the beginning of November, Students K-12 were given a gratitude journal to record daily the things they are thankful for. Through our partnership with H360, teachers have been fostering an attitude of gratitude with weekly lessons and challenges. And we’ve also seen acts of gratitude pop up all over the district, including these gratitude jars in the MS/HS halls. By the end of the month, LCSD staff and students will be able to recognize and appreciate positive things that happen to us daily.
