Our MS/HS Lions packed the gym for the annual Homecoming Pep Rally, bringing together students and staff for an afternoon of school spirit, friendly competition and plenty of Lyons Pride.
It was the perfect way to close out Spirit Week and get ready for a big Homecoming night ahead.

Homecoming Friday is here, and we’re kicking off the celebration with Legacy Fest!
Join us TODAY from 4:00–7:00 PM as we bring together generations of Lyons Lions to celebrate our school and community's past, present, and future.
Enjoy live music from The Decades Band, food trucks, bounce houses, yard games, local organizations, alumni connections, and more before heading under the lights for the Homecoming football game at 7:00 PM!
We’ll also recognize the Classes of the 7s—1957, 1967, 1977, 1987, 1997, 2007, and 2017—with special recognition at 6:00 PM.

ATHLETIC SPOTLIGHT: Megan Taylor and Anaya Bailey earned two of the top singles finishes at the annual Wayne County Tennis Tournament in North Rose-Wolcott, with Megan taking 1st place and Anaya finishing 2nd!
For Megan and Anaya, the finishes reflect the growth they’ve shown throughout the season, both individually and as a team. “We’ve improved a lot since the beginning of the season,” Anaya said.
With a younger team this year, both have also stepped into leadership roles. Megan remembers being the youngest on the team as a freshman and learning from the juniors and seniors around her. Now a junior, she’s helping pass along what she learned to the next group. “It’s been fun because now I’m showing them things that were once taught to me by the older players,” Megan said.
Coach Cole said their success is a reflection of who they are both on and off the court. “I’m incredibly proud of Megan and Anaya. They’re great athletes, but even more importantly, they’re great kids. They work hard, support their teammates and represent Lyons the right way.”
What are they looking forward to most for the rest of the season?
“Just playing tennis. We just love it,” they said. They’re also excited to watch their younger teammates keep growing. “Seeing how hard they work and how much they’ve improved has been one of the most rewarding parts of the season.”
