Mitchell VanAuken took 2nd place in the Wayne Finger Lakes League tournament in Waterloo this past weekend at the 124 pound division. Mitchell won his first two matches by pin and then won an exciting semi-final match winning 5-4 by decision before falling in the finals. Congrats, Mitchell!

7th graders in Ms. Carey, Ms. Browne, and Ms. Clark's HIT classes earned a breakfast party on Thursday, December 21st for completing one i-Ready lesson a week for 5 weeks in a row. Two students even earned Bonus Bucks for completing 2 lessons a week for 5 consecutive weeks! It was great to celebrate their accomplishments and growth before break. Even Cady, Mrs. Kesel's therapy dog, joined in the fun!

Thank you to everyone who made it to A Snowy Night on Wednesday! And a huge thank you to everyone who contributed to make this special first-time event happen, especially the Lyons Leadership and FACS students.
The LHS Leadership Class held their 2023 Kids’ Night Out event on Tuesday, December 19th. The class planned a fun-filled night for UPK through 6th grades which included playing games in the gym, arts and crafts, and board games. Elementary students were also able to pick out a book to take home with them from the recent book drive held by the collaboration between the Leadership Class and FACS classes.
