On Monday, March 4, 2024, Derek Poole of the Our Community Reads program, kicked off LES Read Across America Week by hosting two assemblies. 📚🦁
During the assemblies, Mr. Poole read a story and gave out Awesome Reader awards for showing passion toward reading and learning to students in grades UPK-5!
Thank you to Mr. Poole, Mr. Nesbitt, and their Our Community Reads team for this special event. Also, thanks to Principal Taylor, Assistant Principal Randall, and reading co-coordinators Mrs. Thurston and Mrs. Wetmore for their involvement in our assemblies.

Help us support the MS/HS — buy a calendar for $10 and get 16 chances to win a variety of prizes!
We will do a name drawing every day and share the winner's name here on Facebook. All our 7th-12th graders have the calendars for sale.
Every person who buys one has 16 chances to win (16 days...one person's name is pulled everyday). All funds are 100% funding our 7-12th grades classes' future senior trips, graduation festivities and such! All money is pooled and then divided to each class. Good luck, everyone! 🤞
