Through extreme winter weather and everyday challenges, the LCSD Transportation team continues to go above and beyond to keep our students safe and our district running smoothly.
That same care and dedication was on display when they welcomed former student Joshua for a special visit. While managing demanding winter conditions, the team still made time to share their work, reconnect with familiar faces, and create a meaningful behind-the-scenes experience for Joshua, who has a deep interest in buses and the team's amazing work.
“It’s nice to get behind-the-scenes experience of what happens in the bus garage,” Joshua shared. “I enjoyed catching up with them and loved that they remembered me.”

On Saturday, Lyons Central School District proudly hosted the Wayne County Music Educators Association All-County Chorus Concert at the Earl Buchanan Auditorium. Students from across Wayne County came together to showcase their talent and hard work in a wonderful celebration of music. A special moment of the day included a guest appearance on the drums by former LCSD principal, Mr. Clark.

At halftime of last night's varsity game against Sodus, the future of Lyons basketball was on full display as our Lyons Lions varsity team proudly recognized our youth basketball players. Thank you to our varsity athletes for being such positive role models and to our youth players for bringing the energy and excitement. Once a Lion, always a Lion!

Meet Moose!
Lyons Elementary School is excited to welcome our newest team member, Moose. Moose is a 1-year-old golden retriever therapy dog who is officially joining the Lyons team after being approved at this week’s Board of Education meeting.
Moose belongs to School Psychologist Kaitlyn Waite, and together they completed specialized therapy dog training to earn Moose’s certification. He is ready to support students and staff by providing comfort, encouragement, and positive connections throughout the school day.
Moose is joining our growing K-9 team at Lyons. While Mrs. Kesel’s guide dogs in training have been part of the LCSD community for decades at the MS/HS, Moose now brings support and love to Lyons Elementary as our therapy dog.
We are excited to welcome Moose to the Pride!

Lyons Elementary School’s annual Breakfast with Santa is a special hometown tradition that brings holiday magic to our students. Each year, students in grades UPK–2 invite a guest to enjoy breakfast with Santa, creating memories they’ll cherish for years to come. Santa also stopped by to visit our older elementary students, spreading holiday cheer throughout the building.
