The Curtain Call Program successfully hosted its 33rd annual Performing Arts Summer Program at Lyons CSD, welcoming 157 students from six school districts. Throughout July, the music wing came alive as students rehearsed for performances held July 22 and 23 at the Earl Buchanan Auditorium. Over 70 Lyons students were able to participate and the district is proud to continue its long-standing tradition of hosting this exceptional regional arts program. Congratulations to all of the talented students, and thank you to the Curtain Call staff for another outstanding summer of performing arts!

Driver Education is expanding at Lyons CSD!
Beginning in the 2026-2027 school year, Driver Education will no longer be limited to the summer. Students ages 16 and older with a learner's permit will have the opportunity to take the course in the fall and spring as part of the school day, combining classroom instruction with behind-the-wheel experience.
To support this exciting expansion, a current Lyons CSD staff member is completing certification this summer, ensuring a New York State-certified Driver Education instructor is available year-round.
More opportunities. More access. This expansion reflects Lyons CSD's commitment to student success both in and out of the classroom while preparing them for the road ahead.

Lyons FFA members recently traveled to Buffalo to attend the New York State FFA Convention, where they showcased their knowledge and skills in two Career Development Events: Quiz Bowl and Marketing Plan.
The trip was highlighted by several accomplishments. Leeann Peeso received the Jacket Award, recognizing her as an outstanding new FFA member, while the Marketing Plan team earned State Finalist honors. Students also had the opportunity to connect with fellow FFA members and agricultural professionals from across New York, including Richard Ball (pictured).
