Red Jacket has officially forfeited Friday’s football game against Lyons due to not having enough eligible players to start the game. That means the Lyons Lions take the win—but it also means we will not have a home football game this Friday. We worked to find another Varsity team to compete against, but were unable to secure a matchup.
Don’t worry! Homecoming is still going to be unforgettable!
Yard Fest – Friday, 4–7 PM @ Lyons High School Football Field
Get ready for the newest tradition at LCSD!
--The Decades Band, featuring two of LCSD’s own teachers, performing hits from every era
--Eight food trucks serving up local favorites
--Bounce houses, yard games, and fun for all ages
--Local resources and vendors
--A special recognition at 6:00 PM of the Classes of the “6’s” and the legacy they’ve left behind
Homecoming Dance – Friday, 7–9 PM in the MS/HS Gym
--Right after Yard Fest, the dance has been changed from Saturday to Friday, allowing students to keep the spirit alive at the dance.
Even without a football game, Lyons Pride will be shining brighter than ever. Join us for Yard Fest and help make this Homecoming one to remember! Check out the food truck rodeo lineup

60 years apart, 2 generations of Lyons Lions football players captured in the same moment: gearing up for practice, putting in the work, and carrying the pride of Lyons on their shoulders. This recreated photo of our football team reminds us that pride isn’t just in the games we play, but in the dedication, preparation, and teamwork that have carried on through generations.
Generations may change, but the bond of being a Lion lasts forever. Once a Lion, always a Lion.
Join us to celebrate your Lyons Legacy this Friday night, September 26th, at Yard Fest, followed by the Homecoming football game.
