Enjoy live music from The Decades Band, food trucks, bounce houses, yard games, local organizations, alumni connections, and more before heading under the lights for the Homecoming football game at 7:00 PM!
We’ll also recognize the Classes of the 7s—1957, 1967, 1977, 1987, 1997, 2007, and 2017—with special recognition at 6:00 PM.

• Friday — Legacy Fest from 4–7 PM, followed by the Homecoming football game!
From our youngest Lions to our alumni and community, it’s a week to come together and celebrate Lyons!

ATHLETIC SPOTLIGHT: Megan Taylor and Anaya Bailey earned two of the top singles finishes at the annual Wayne County Tennis Tournament in North Rose-Wolcott, with Megan taking 1st place and Anaya finishing 2nd!
For Megan and Anaya, the finishes reflect the growth they’ve shown throughout the season, both individually and as a team. “We’ve improved a lot since the beginning of the season,” Anaya said.
With a younger team this year, both have also stepped into leadership roles. Megan remembers being the youngest on the team as a freshman and learning from the juniors and seniors around her. Now a junior, she’s helping pass along what she learned to the next group. “It’s been fun because now I’m showing them things that were once taught to me by the older players,” Megan said.
Coach Cole said their success is a reflection of who they are both on and off the court. “I’m incredibly proud of Megan and Anaya. They’re great athletes, but even more importantly, they’re great kids. They work hard, support their teammates and represent Lyons the right way.”
What are they looking forward to most for the rest of the season?
“Just playing tennis. We just love it,” they said. They’re also excited to watch their younger teammates keep growing. “Seeing how hard they work and how much they’ve improved has been one of the most rewarding parts of the season.”
Congratulations, Megan and Anaya! We’re proud to see your hard work, growth, and leadership on and off the court!

Legacy Fest celebrates the past, present, and future of Lyons, bringing our school and community together to honor the people, traditions, and Pride that have shaped our story while celebrating all that’s ahead for our district.
This year, the Class of 2027 will help honor the classes that came before them, with special recognition of the Classes of 1957, 1967, 1977, 1987, 1997, 2007, and 2017 at 6:00 PM before the Homecoming football game under the Friday night lights!

More than 20 years ago, now Superintendent Dr. Barr created the Leadership Class as a teacher focused on giving back and making a difference in the community. That same spirit of service continues in the class today and throughout the entire district.

What made the night even more special was the incredible support from our community. Local businesses, food trucks, organizations, and partners came together alongside our students, families, and staff, making the night a true celebration of Lyons.
It was especially meaningful to see so many Lyons alumni giving back. Lyons alum Kimberly Boehm and the Hometown Team at Empire Realty Group helped make our students and staff feel extra special, while fellow alumni Robbie Kelley and Connor Orlopp of Kelley’s Barber Shop did something pretty incredible by giving FREE back-to-school haircuts to our students throughout the evening! There’s something pretty special about seeing former Lyons students come back home to support the next generation.
Students. Families. Staff. Alumni. Community. This is what it means to be part of the Pride.

This past week, our 6th and 7th graders got a head start during Middle School Orientation, learning bell schedules and locker locations, meeting teachers and principals, and enjoying plenty of fun activities along the way.
Current 8th graders and high school students also stepped up as orientation leaders, helping our newest middle schoolers feel comfortable, connected, and part of the Lyons community from day one.
A big thank you to Mrs. Brooks and her team for organizing two great days, and to our student leaders for showing what Lyons Pride and mentorship are all about!

We’re bringing the fun INSIDE! Due to the weather forecast, tonight’s UPK - 12 Grade Back-to-School Bash will now be hosted inside the Lyons Middle/High School from 5–6:30 PM.
Everything you were looking forward to is STILL HAPPENING! We’re just moving it indoors!
Please check out our updated parking map before you arrive. In addition to our overflow parking and continuous shuttle service, additional parking will be available behind the Middle/High School near the tennis courts.
Please note: The bonfire scheduled for after the Bash has been canceled.

Lyons Central School District is proud to once again provide school supplies for every UPK–12 student. It’s something we’re proud to offer our families and one of the many ways we work to make sure our students have what they need to start the year ready to learn.
Supplies will be waiting in classrooms on the first day of school. Families just need to provide a backpack and water bottle.

Back-to-School Bash is back, and it’s bigger and better than ever!
Join us Wednesday, September 2 from 5:00 –6:30 PM (Bonfire to follow) for one big district-wide celebration! NEW this year: the entire Back-to-School Bash will take place at the Middle/High School for all students and families, UPK–12 (see map).
Come meet your teachers for the 2026–27 school year and enjoy an evening packed with:
▪️FREE haircuts from Kelly’s Barbershop from 5–7 PM
▪️ Bounce houses, yard games, music, and Blender Bikes
▪️Food trucks and sweet treats

Food trucks currently scheduled include Nani’s Treats, Dars Ice Cream, Sprinkle Starship, PJ’s Pit Stop, The Dainty Donut Factory, Roll’in Stones Pizza Truck, Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee and Kona Ice.
