The Junior and Senior Leadership and Community classes also celebrate the holiday season by supporting the Lyons Community through their Leadership Giving initiative.
Students worked with the Lyons Fire Department to decorate trees in Central Park and assisted the Inter-Church Council in setting up their Holiday Shopping Experience. Guided by retired Lyons Elementary teacher Marcia Bilanci, they demonstrated the value of teamwork.
These efforts showcase the power of leadership and the spirit of community service. LCSD proudly celebrates our elementary and high school students for making a meaningful impact this holiday season!

On November 13th and 14th, Baylei Reed, the president of LCSD's FFA chapter, and LCSD AgTech teacher Mr. Dailey traveled to Albany for the Youth Agricultural Leadership Conference.
Baylei and Mr. Dailey had the chance to meet with government officials, talk to career mentors about career opportunities, and attend workshops to discuss issues within agriculture.
On the way home, she was able to stop and tour The Farm Store at Tiashoke and King Farms🍦🐄

6th graders are showing the power of kindness and community this holiday season through their SPARK Holiday Kindness project.
Over the past week, LCSD 6th graders have spread joy in the following ways:
- Packed holiday gift bags and hygiene kits (donated by Community Schools) with hats/gloves for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Rochester.
- Focused on spreading kindness within our school:
- Read stories to LCSD Kindergarten classes.
- Shared treats with our UPK students.
- Delivered small gifts to teachers.
- Brightened the staff lounge.
These projects are just the beginning of how our students embrace kindness and strengthen our community this season. Stay tuned to see how our high school students are making an impact around town!
